I have a Dremel tool...and am attempting a project that entails cutting off the hand rails of Williams diesel engines. I want to replace the stamped metal hand rails with round wire. What would be the best cutting tool that would cut through the Williams stamped metal?

I have an old Dremel and use the 409 15/16" Cutting Wheels for most applications.  Doubling them up helps.  Check the Dremel website for recommendations.

Always wear eye protection.

User Tips

The cut-off wheel cuts only along its edge. Do not attempt to sand or cut curved holes with them.

Secure objects to a stable surface while working.

Hold the tool so that the wheel is at a perpendicular angle to the material being cut.

Keep a light touch, as the wheel will break under too much pressure. If chattering occurs, increase speed.
