How about a Best of YOUR 2011 Photos for this New Year's Weekend?

Not to hijack Scott's EXCELLENT Weekend Foto Fun but rather to compliment it - please post a couple of YOUR favorite photos from this past year for everyone to enjoy! A one time event.

In looking back through my J&C Studios collection, here are three of my personal favorites

The K-Line B&O Mikado passes above Lionel's B&O EM1 in the early morning sunlight

A striking Alco DL109/110 in Warbonnet paint heads at us from the viewpoint of a heavy steamer as it passes N&W No. 1218 Class 'A' pulling a freight drag.

We experimented with some outdoor diorama shots and this is my favorite with the blue color very apparent in the mountains near Maggie Valley NC. No Photoshop color enhancement here!

Let's see YOUR favorites!

Sam, that last one is mountain railroading for sure...

I took some pics with the new digital cam but haven't figured out yet how to post them. If I could, you'd see here a nighttime shot of the City of New Orleans stopped in front of a platform station with folks about to board. The station lights did a pretty good job providing just the right amount of illumination. And there's a man on the platform holding his little boy up on his shoulders so he can see the train...

Jim,
Don't you need some of that heavy steel netting over the rocks above the CP F3 to prevent rockslides from covering the tracks and impeding rail traffic?

We've had rock slides on I-40 in the mountains of North Carolina that have occurred from rock formations less imposing than yours.
