I find the LEGO IR remotes work just fine for my LEGO locomotives.
I liked the way the app functioned where you can see several locos, and the track plan with the switch locations, all on one screen. I don't have Legos, but like the concept of the 'drop-in' Bluetooth boards and hope we in O gauge 3 rail and S gauge can have this sort of system soon. Also, it is dead-rail for those going that direction. I would like the option for track powered rail, also. What it shows me is that these Bluetooth systems are not a figment of someone imagination, but something already out in the world and working. There has been a lot of talk that these Bluetooth things won't or can't work, and this proves they do to my satisfaction. May be a game-changer after all!
