is ther a hard reset on a unresponsive ps-3..it will start on the isolated test track and function. but when placed on the main track is unresponsive..i went thru the delete then re-add technique,,as well as recover lost engine approach....dead as a door nail. everything else works as intended.......keep it simple...conrail john

DCS/DCC switch?
Hi Kurt ! i will look . they have sat idle for a few weeks i dont suspect that has anything to do with it but.....
Try removing the other engines from the track. I have had that happen before and that was my solution.
How about a number??
No hard reset, but what is DCS Track signal strength read on test track. If low, could be issues with engine wiring around signal inductor, or dirty wheels and pickups.
Trying to load a reset engine on a mainline with nothing else on the main line is also a good idea. G
ok...so the problem area was geting ones..1s....unos......so i went direct and poof ! 9s and 10s ! too much accessories ...atlas track....the sucking sound was my signal disapearing....so now im doing a bit of rewiring...acc lighting will have its own power source and i will live happily ever after......i must mention the ps2 s were unafected by any of this !!! just sayin...thanks for the responses..conrail john

Sorry Marty, just had to! I'm sure I've done it myself, forgot to add the number.
oh that number ! 867-5309... i had to .....all of my ps3 s are very intolerant of weak track signal premier or railking same thing. i didnt know there was a problem until i bought ps3s and they would get un responsive. I never had ANY operational issues with the ps2. i left out 634-5789 !!!
I am happy to announce that a little rewire and cutting out of redundant leads to the same track has bumped up my signal and made all the ps2 and ps3 very happy and responsive..so for now all is well in the world ( downstairs anyway !) conrail john
