Brake firing randomly On legacy remote

Brake button has been known to stick. Does it unstick intermittently?

I couldn't really tell from that video exactly what was going on.

Sorry, I wasn't more clear in my post to begin. At the very end of the video you can see on the screen the brake applying. Yet I don't actually touch any buttons.  I attached a screen shot of the image where you can see on screen the brake icon. The results on track match what is happening on the screen so randomaly my trains will just slow to a halt.

The brake/boost button is centered on the remote or in the neutral position.  I have moved the button in the opposite direction for example boosting which does stop the braking and see the engine speed increase matching what Command I am initiating on the remote. When the boost is released the brake continues to then apply  as if I was pulling down. 

I would try two electronic device type things

1. Pull the batteries, wait 30 seconds and reinstall them
2. If no joy with #1, reload the software for the cab2. Try making a fresh module with a fresh download first.

Try Carl's suggestion first.  If that doesn't work, I believe, Lionel is still repairing CAB2's under warranty.  Give customer service a call.

Sounds like the CAB2, talk to Lionel service.

when the video first starts the program is NOT full applied.  push the button in the lower left corner to complete the command.

I tend to agree with GRJ that it's probably the CAB2 and the Brake Boost rocker.  It's certainly worth trying the other suggestions.

They do fail.  One of mine just bit the dust totally!  I was running with it, and came back half an hour later and it no longer powers up.  Time to call Lionel...

Thanks for everyone's input. So far I tested pulling the battery (no luck). Will try creating the module and see what happens, but am guessing I will be calling Lionel. Wishing I had wifi so I could run from my phone in the meantime.
