Re: Brand new Dash 9 NO sounds Any Suggestions?

Lionel Amtrak Dash 9 (28343) just out of the box and no sounds at all. No horn, no bell, no crew talk, no tower com. Added 9V battery still nothing. Reprogrammed ID# several times. Cab 2 control with module loaded. Moves great, couplers work fine and lights operate correctly. Other engines working fine. Have powered down and repowered more than a few times. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A bit too much $$ invested to start taking apart just to see if there is a hooked up speaker. Now to just invest more in postage, insurance and time without new toy. BUMMER

There has to be a Command Control reset sequence to use for this model.

just for drill, check if using the 1 button on the keypad raising sound level does indeed raise the sound level. you can also check to see if the pot is turned up and the railsounds/signal sounds switch is seated fully in the railsounds position
