Has anyone heard anything regarding delivery of the brass versions of the 4-4-0’s Jupiter and UP 119 as well as they’re associated passenger cars?  They were last scheduled for delivery in June...  is that still the case?  Need some fun news in these not-so-fun times.  Thanks in advance!

Ironically, I do have some information. I called Lionel one to two weeks ago and they said that the locomotives would arrive in the first week of September but the cars in June-July. I then later looked at the revised shipping schedule today and it showed for them to come in sometime in August. A little later than expected but hopefully the final products will look, and operate, as the sample models do.

Ryan stated on the TrainWorld FB video something about more information coming up about the color schemes changing slightly and that would take a bit more time with them. He wasn't clear on what about the colors were changes, just that the researches updated the team when some of the factory samples came in IIRC. Hopefully whatever the colors are that are the finished product won't be hideous.

Let’s hope that the paint change was b/c they caught something BEFORE it was delivered to the general public that they new would be unacceptable by our standards and they wanted to get it right!  Fingers crossed!!

Over here on TW post at roughly 32:00 in Ryan talks about the paint schemes as I mentioned above. It is better hearing what he said from him than what I tried to say. Have a listen.

After watching the segment, it sounded like there was more than what meets the eye. At one point Ryan mentioned that they had to change something with its performance, which is good, and that the paint changes are minor details. Also, he said that the sound system is nearly done and that both the cars and locomotives will be shipping around August. All I hope is that they do not make a mistake that is so ridiculous that they don't want to own up to it. COUGH misspelled Missouri COUGH.
