Start with an Bachmann HO mogul with DCC, then strip it down to it's running gear. Take a On30 Broadway Limited, D&RGW C16 boiler and shorten 1/2" to suit. Fashion some of the missing parts from brass stock and shapes. Being a freelance contrivance, many assembly / dis-assemblies were necessary to eyeball the work in progress for proportions. Provisions for easy attachment needed to be modified and jury rigged. The result is the rough beginnings of a teakettle as I had first imagined. These pics allow me to stop and visualize problem areas more easily and plot other modifications, like ditching that headlight.
