Using the Common 'return' buss bar approach with 14-2/w or 12-2/w house wiring (as Dale H. has shown) can star wiring be used effectively or does the return need to be a complete loop with a feeder to the power source?

Thanks

You could use the house wiring and run it from each feeder back to a terminal strip and then mains back to the power. If you are running conventional or TMCC a star setup is not needed.

Thanks Ron,

No DCS

I may be using the wrong terminology. I was thinking of putting 3 terminal blocks around the layout for a common return for track and accs. and individually tie them back to a main terminal block at my transformers as opposed to wiring the 3 terminal blocks in a circle that would also include the main block at the transformers.
