Cab-2 Remote; speed backs off when accelerating.

The boost / brake switch sounds like it is sticking.  Some folks have had success spraying some canned air or contact cleaner in the switch. Be careful which cleaner you use and use it sparingly.

 

Also make sure when you turn on the remote, that you are not accidentally pulling back on the rocker.  I'm not 100% but if the remote powers on without the brake boost in detente position, it will zero where it is.

   Marty is giving you sound advise, let me also add this, try resetting your mid control button at the bottom of your Cab2, I accidently had mine in the wrong mode and my Legacy Shay was acting similar to your engine, when I started it up.  Marty & Guns wised me up to what I was doing wrong.  You can bump one of the other buttons as you put the Cab2 back in the Legacy Base, and not even know you did it.

Thanks for the responses guys.  I tried messing with the boost/brake and checked all other controls but no luck.  I didn't spray contact cleaner because I didn't want to possibly void the warranty.  I thought I could live with this but can't.  I will call tech support and see if they can do anything for me.

Are you seeing the brake icon when you are having this problem?

My brake button was triggering, causing this to happen. I opened up the remote and sprayed some Deoxit in the rocker housing- problem solved!

Of course mine was long out of warranty.
