Hi, just update to 1.6 using pc and black modular, re-tranferred my engine data----- in all cases the downloads were "successful".      When I started using the CAB2 remote the keyboard only reflects numeric values when I select an engine not showing all  the engine specific info although however, I can select the engine and they work.   I notice that the yellow lite is slowly flashing.  I have tried everything to get it to work.    What am i doing incorrectly?   Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks for replying, I updated from 1.52 to 1.6.    Also I have TMCC hooked in with two controllers, however when I disconnected the yellow light still flashes.

Apparently when I updated using the black fob it wiped all my data from about 30 units, which in the end is why my programed engines worked without the function keys, when I backed up after upgrading it must have wiped out all my data.    This is what I get for retiring!   Now that I have time I guess planned opalescence will kick in.

I have used my Legacy 990 with my old TMCC controllers for years with no problems even setting up my ross switch controllers so they worked with Legacy.       I picked up a new Legacy 993 for the the added functions for mt friends to use.     Oh well time to update all the engines.    BTW how long with the 990 base station last?   Seems to be generating a lot of heat as it charges batteries?    In any case thanks for your quick replies, this was my first posting and I appreciate the responses.

I don't charge in the #990 base, it gets too hot.  I use the #993 charging base, when I take the remote out of it, it's room temperature.

You do realize that while you were making the black modules, you could have simply backed up the base using the LSU, it's quick and easy.  Then you can reload it after the smoke settles.

I've updated from 1.3 in increments several times to the current 1.60/1.61 versions, and it's never affected the stored engines in the base.  When I got my Legacy system, I had to send it back for the 1.2 upgrade, then I did the 1.3 shortly after from a module that Lionel supplied.  After 1.3, I was able to write black modules and do the updates myself.
