I want to remove the cab from a Bachmann 4-6-0. The glass was loose upon arrival, plus I'd like to put an engineer and fireman in the cab. I removed the 4 screws under the cab, and popped out the handrails at the bottom.
But what about the piping at the front of the cab and the "chain", (string) bell and whistle linkage?
How are they detached?

This sounds as bad as removing the roof off of an O Gauge PRR Combined car.
All I could get is Popsicle sticks and soap ~~~~~~
I still haven't gotten it off.
