Cabin Fever Auctions - American Flyer & Mixed Trains - Wednesday November 17th

Does anybody have experience with Cabin Fever Auctions?  I just looked at the inventory for this auction and there is a lot to see.  Wondering if it's worth all the trouble of jumping through the hoops.

I have no complaints in several dealings with Cabin Fever over the last couple of years except being outbid!

No problems this year with a few successful bids.
As flyerrich experienced, my only pro was getting out bid more often than I would have liked. I guess I can feel ok about it because I saved a bunch of money

How are prices in general?  compared to eBay?

When I looked some time ago, I thought the buyers premium was significant. Keep that in mind when bidding. Also of course be aware of the shipping charges.  Read the fine print before bidding.

I just bought a Post War 2065 very nice piece and a fair price but I failed to understand/realize that first they are based in PA son I did not consider sales tax, commission and charges to pack and ship. My advice is to consider these items and include them in your max you want to spend. My first time buying at this type of auction so I made rookie mistakes. Item was very nice and packed well so no issues with Cabin Fever just me not fully understanding the process.

As the prices in today's auction soar in to the stratosphere, I will take my money to the local train show in a couple of weeks and spend it there.

I confine my bidding on auctions to the bay. The seller states the condition (running?) and the shipping cost on the item not after the sale.
