Jared Schoenly and his crew at Cabin Fever Auctions have joined OGR as a forum sponsor and magazine advertiser!  Cabin Fever Auctions has been selected to liquidate the entire contents of the 124,000 sq. ft. MTH warehouse in Columbia, MD. They will conduct a series of exclusive MTH-Railking online auctions to dispense the contents of this vast facility to collectors and operators of these trains worldwide.

Jared invites you to visit their website to see all they have to offer including other model train auctions, vintage toy auctions, automobilia auctions and much more.  Their live banner is located in the third row of banners on all forum pages and their listing in the Index of Sponsors is within the featured topics.  Both have direct links to their website.  Join us in welcoming Jared and his crew to our group of forum sponsors and advertisers.

Thanks!

Thanks everyone and we are happy to support the train community.  We are always happy to answer questions anyone may have in regards to the MTH Series of auctions as well as all our sales.  We generally hold 3-4 auctions per month with mixed trains.  Make sure to sign up for emails at our website to keep up to date on sales coming up.  Thanks all!

How many auctions do you currently envision for mth ?

Jared I tried to browse your site for the upcoming MTH auction, but I couldn't get past the point of the credit check or Social Security Number.  Is there any way to avoid this with a major credit card, PayPal, etc.?  With all the hacking, ransomware, etc., it just doesn't seem prudent to enter your SSN on a website, and I don't really want random pulls to adversely affect my credit rating.  I think I'm good for the $1 minimum bid!

I would love to browse and perhaps bid, but this is a deal-breaker for me.  Please advise.

Thank you Cabin Fever!

I have to say, I've gone to several different auction companies over the last few years, and Cabin Fever is always my favorite. They are helpful, responsive, and truly care about the customer. I miss going to their live auctions, and look forward to going again when the world goes back to normal.

I mean.....they are terrible. Nobody go to their auctions (especially when I'm there )

Hey All:

MTH Auctions - At this point we see approx 1 a month for the next year or so, but this may change slightly.  We have a tremendous amount to catalog so it will be plus/minus a little depending on what more we clean out yet as well.

Ted Re: Registration - There is actually no requirement to even register at all to browse the auction itself.  You can see all details but just can't bid until you register with the card.  That act of registering on the site setups up your account.  The Tax ID field is optional and is not for SSN but rather for those with a resale Tax ID (those buying for resale that do not pay sales tax).  When registering to bid on any auction date, you enter the card information to validate the card (for instance to make sure its not expired, etc) for that sale date.  It's also not a credit check, it's just a pre-authorization on the credit card that it's valid, not a full on credit inquiry.  You MUST have a credit card to register to bid and all payments are to be with this card per the terms.  We accept all major credit cards but sorry, we do not accept paypal.  Our checkout is more secure than paypal.  If you have any more questions, do feel free to email us as well - cabinfeverauctions@gmail.com

Michael - Thanks for the support in the past and now!  We certainly miss the in person sales and we'll see what we can return to in the future!

Thanks!

Jared Schoenly
