I have had these two little stands since I was a kid. They are made of cardstock wrapped with paper. The years of wear and tear, as well as attic storage, have not helped these pieces. My intent to to refurbish them as best I can.
I was wondering if anyone has these pieces or has any history of them. My guess that they date between 1949 and 1954. If you zoom into the newsstand, the headline on the newspaper on the right says, "Truman seeks new war powers". I'm guessing this was the Korean war, which helps zero in on the date. Appreciate and comments or help.
