After the last update on my iPad I can no longer use the VIEW feature to see the digital magazines.  It will load anywhere between a few and a few dozen pages (random number that changes each time the issue is opened) of an issue and then locks up.  Can’t go forward or back.  Does it for all issues.  I can still select DOWNLOAD and see the whole issue.  No problem with videos.  Cleared cache and cookies, signed out and back in, but problem persists.  Never had a problem in the past.

7th generation iPad running IOS 16.3.1.  My iPhone 8 running 16.3.1 has the same problem.  Never had a problem using the iPad before.  Even viewed the latest issue when it came out.  Now all issues have the same problem.  If I repeatedly try to view the latest issue, it will load maybe 11 pages, then 6, then 32, then 7, etc.  Haven't been able to get past page 32 before the iPad locks up.  I have cleared the cache, cookies and history, logged out and back in to OGR, rebooted the iPad.  Nothing seems to change.  I have no problem downloading a issue and looking at it that way, so that is the work around.  No problem with my iMac viewing the issues.  It is just the mobile devices and the problem has occurred recently.

AN UPDATE:

We are checking with the maker of the PDF Flipbook program on this. In the meantime, could those of you having the problem do some troubleshooting for us? Go back a couple of issues and see if you have the problem with runs 322 or 325 - back in that time period.

We are trying to determine if there is a problem with the PDF Flipbook program or whether we have a problem with the PDF file used to make the Flipbook for the current issue.

In the meantime, the solution is to download the issue, instead of reading it online. It will download completely.

Hey Rich, I just tried Run 322 - I use Safari and have the latest version of IOS.  In fact, I tried viewing it twice and it froze at the same place both times - page 57/58 which is a two page spread featuring only photos.  Maybe that’s a clue?

I tried Run 325 and it too froze at the same place - pages 9/10 with 10 being all photos.

Hope this helps.

Bob
