Going to pick up some passenger car diaphragms (610-9060-010) from Hennings Trains. They are made to fit the K-Line Heavyweight passenger cars. I want to put them on Williams extruded aluminum modern angular Amtrak cars. The door outlines are not as pronounced on these as on the K-line cars and the mounting area is not plastic. Do you think I will be able to just super glue the diaphragms on the end of each car and have them stay on? There is enough distance between cars when coupled so that they should not touch or bind even in the smallest radius of 0-48 that they will run on.

I'd appreciate your thoughts or experience on the matter....

As suggested above, a rubber cement like Walthers Goo would work well. (There is a cancer warning on it for California.) The advantage of Goo, and other types of rubber cement, is that it's not as permanent as an epoxy so you can always remove the diaphragm if you change your mind. (I use Goo to keep my old New Balance sneaker soles from falling off! )
