choosing the correct power supply fo Menards buildings

The link does not answer the simple above question.  What is the ma rating for each Menard building?  This question was asked back when the salt mine was released. Menards customer service didn't have an answer or they just did not respond to two inquires.  Mark the Menards rep was also asked and he also did not respond.

There are actually 3 power units,  1000MA, 2000MA and a 5000 MA.   The 2000MA has 3 outlets. The other two have one.  Anybody have something to measure the power draw on the building?

I would think every building is different, depending on the number of lights, operating signs, and fans. That's why people are asking Menards to rate them.

I'm sure they are all different.  But if in doubt just measure the draw on the buildings that are being used.

That's hard to do if you don't have a meter to measure ma, or you're trying to decide on which power supply inthe first place

Tommy...       This is the best answer available at this time.  Until Menards rates their buildings, or, members start testing their buildings and reporting their results, it’s a guess on the mA requirements for each building.  As you read in the thread, I personally measured a few buildings and the results were right at 10mA per led.  The buildings I measured were the depot, farm supply, and the watkins city block.

I have used the three plug power one on all my buildings including the York Hotel. I have connected five buildings and 6 lighted vehicles without any problems. 

Don't over think this, just plug them in and enjoy the buildings.

I have 4 Menards buildings which I have measured their mA draw using a multimeter.   My measurements were:

Morton Salt ..... 275mA

American Power & Light ..... 213mA

Herman’s Sauerkraut Factory .....149mA

Dakota Cabinet Works .....145mA

If others have any measurements, perhaps we can create a data base.
