I've removed prongs from a 0-6-0t. LC+ 2.0 where 4 chuffs per revolution were too many. Don't see why you couldn't add to a LC+ but the LC engines I believe work differently. Maybe others can provide more information.

It's not that simple on the LC models, it's based on rod motion, not wheel rotation.  You're thinking of the LC+ 2.0 mod discussed here recently, a totally different hardware package.
