I seen this morning and evening the Ringling Brothers. and Barnum & Bailey RBBX Red Circus Train 047 was coming Westbound from Hershey PA bound for Omaha NE. Well I took the chance with the severe storms that were coming towards Ravenna / Rootstown I would try to catch it. Well within the 15 to 20 minutes I was there it came by with an NS Westbound Freight before it. The storms came about 10 minutes after the Circus Train ended. Which I left right after the Circus Train ended. But here are the pictures below. The video will follow either tonight or tomorrow. But I thought I would share.

Hey Tommy, thanks for sharing! I haven't seen that train since the late 80's, when it came by the refinery where I worked. CSX was doing the honors on the front end, and moving west much faster than the norm!

I noticed 8 mt seats in the Clown Car, and I thought it was a great opportunity for our top management...........................Thanks again for the shots, and video!.....Brandy!

Your welcome. This is the 2nd time I seen it. The first was when I was little and my parents took me over to Berea Ohio to see it, which I remember vaguely. I just don't remember what year. Yes it was cool for me to see it this time to remember. The full story is, earlier in the morning on the 26th, I checked the HeritageUnits.com website and checked to see any HeritageUnits coming. Well I seen in eastern PA the RBBX Red Circus Train was coming west out of Marysville PA. Well I had to go to work. I got out on the afternoon. Came home, checked the status and seen it was in Wilmerding PA. Well I thought to myself should I go or not since they mentioned a stop in Youngstown. But Youngstown was off the main to go towards Alliance, and points north towards Cleveland. Well I seen it said Rochester PA at 4:52PM. So ate my dinner early and decided to go out and try to see it. I had no clue I was going to see it. I was deciding to go west towards Bedford area, but decided since severe storms were coming to drive down to Ravenna. Well in Ravenna at about 6:30PM I could find a road crossing to wait at. Every crossing someone was at. So I drove south to Rootstown Ohio and found a crossing no one was at. It was Lynn Road. I arrived at 6:40PM. 6 Minutes later at 6:46PM came that fast NS Westbound Freight and then a exactly 12 minutes later after the freight end cleared Lynn Road, at 7:00PM the Circus Train came by. The freeway or bridge you see the Semi's crossing is I-76. The horn on the lead SD70 #2536 I could not hear the horn until he rounded the bend, which I only knew some train was coming when the crossing bell started. But that's the full story. If you want to see the reports of the Red Circus Train status, here's the link   https://www.heritageunits.com/Locomotive/Detail/RBBX

When I was younger I saw the Ringling trains alot in and around Philly. Two memories I have is through connections with people part of the show and some Conrail personel I had the phone number for dispach and I called to find out when the train was do. Dispach thought I was calling from the train. One year after the last show we were able to watch the loading and switching of the train.

Another flash back the firm I work for did the Engineering on one of the power [generater] cars, one of the first projects when I came with the firm.

dodgetrain, the new website to track Circus Trains or special units is this website   https://www.heritageunits.com/    It doesn't update a unit or the Circus Train unless someone saw it sometime that day or the day before. Hope this helps some.
