Periodically, I receive a "Connection Failure" error message when I try to refresh the list of active locomotives while using the MTH "run my trains" app on an iPad.  When this happens, I am able to use the handheld as a backup.  So, it appears that there is an issue with the WIFI connection.

I did a search on the forum and haven't found any posts about this issue.

Any suggestions on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom Jasper

I only use android. I can only guess with Apple products.

The number one issue (to me) seems to be a device dropping the MTH WIFI and reverting to the house router. It's important to change that in the device's settings.

I've also seen where the track signal is so low that the device says "TIU not found"!

Thanks for your reply Joe.  As it turns out, I am using a very stable home LAN to communicate with the MTH Wi-Fi interface unit as this was recommended in Barry's book.  Still scratching my head re this intermittent problem.
