Around 1970, I believe there was an outfit called Continental Flyer that tried to get a line of "S" gauge trains on the market. I don't know much about them. I have an NOS bottle of Smoke Fluid with their label. Perhaps that was all they got to market,
Anybody know anything about them?

Make that a few decades ago.  Continental Flyer was supposed to be a rebirth of the A.C. Gilbert Co.  After all the fanfare with the groundbreaking, silence decended and CF dissappeared into the mists of time.

Thanks for the replies!

Did Continental Flyer make an attempt to buy the Flyer tooling?

In the end, Lionel ended up with the Flyer tooling, and at least some of their finished goods.

I found the web site for "S Gaugian". They have a good selection of back issues.  I would like to read the article if someone can identify the issue, and its still available.

I found this entry on the company.
