I have been running my conventional equipment on my layout with may old ZW and a electronic breaker's to protect the TMCC and other electronics on the layout. I tried useing the DCS system that i used to have to run things but everything started out to fast , The ZW gave much better control. question is to those who use lionel's powermaster for TMCC and Legacy is how does it work for you. i would like to have walk around control with my conventional so i can run my switches and block controlers as well as my TMCC equipment.  Thanks  Rick

I've run conventional with the old TMCC PowerMaster and felt it worked just as well as pulling a handle.  That's how I run my trains under the Christmas tree every year.  I like the TMCC PM for that reason, it can even run command locomotives conventionally.  And since I'm stuck with FasTrack on tile, going slow is the key so that I don't drown out all other sounds in the living room.

I have my Grandson's layout wired to run one of his two loops either directly from his transformer handle (not a CW80) or if he flips a toggle switch, he can run using his (my old) Cab 1 to control a (non Legacy) power master directly with no need for a TMCC command base.

This works great for running his conventional locomotives and is a very simple set up.
