Has anyone converted any of their buildings to LED lighting. I was looking at some I came across on eBay and it looks like you can just stick them in and they are good to go. I was thinking his could allow me to run more accessories from a transformer. They look like they come in cool white or cool white. I was wondering if people have any photos and what they thought of these. Thanks for any help. Derek

I have converted many of my buildings to LED. I order mine from Evans Designs, I know its a dollar or two more than doing it yourself, but its just so EASY! They send you the LEDs already hooked up and ready to just wire into your power source without worrying about the resistors and such. But anyway.... back to the subject.

The one trick I have, is use a dremel tool to flatten the bulb of 3mm and 5mm LEDs. This GREATLY dissapates the light and makes it more lifelike inside a structure! I have put two under the overhangs of buildings without shaving the bulb, and it looks just like a spotlight!
Oh, one more thing. The Evans come with solid/stiff wires. So I just super glue (cause I'm impatient) the wire to the roof about a half inch above the bulb, and then you can bend the wires to aim the light straight down, or in any direction you want. If someone gets down to house level and looks in a window it looks just like a hanging light!
For a MTH building do you use the 5mm or the 3mm. Also which color is best for the interior? I was leaning towards the cool white for interior, and the warm white for industrial items. Also, is the 14 inch length the way to go for buildings to give you the extra length, or is this over kill. I am excited to try to convert my buildings now. Thanks Derek.
