I was in Denver over the holidays and checked out this Coors elevator. It's by itself about a mile from the brewery. Don't recall ever seeing hoppers with the rigging on the tops like these have. Anyone know the function of these? The tank on the side of the elevator painted like a Coors Light can was pretty amusing. The trackmobile was standing by.

Thanks for the link, Rusty. Not sure what the the structures on top of the cars have to do with the process described (assuming the grain is coming out the bottom hatches):

"These hoppers are custom-equipped with pneumatic gates and electrical hookups tied into timers in the brewing process. This enables the cars to release a precise amount of grain directly into seep tanks at the appropriate time in the brewing process—even if no one’s around!"

I would be interesting to see the unloading process in action.
