I have an MTH U30C diesel, PS3 and the rear coupler keeps firing whenever going through a curve or when the coupler drops low.   It’s a recent development as I’ve run the engine for a while without a problem.   I know it is making contact with something but it is not obvious either when the engine is right-side up or when I hook it up to power and view it upside down.  Before I take the engine apart, can something point me to a schematic online where I may get an idea of what to look for before disassembling?  And has anyone come across this who may be willing to send me off in the right direction?  Thanks.

First off, STOP RUNNING IT UNTIL YOU FIX IT!  I've had a couple in for repair where the coupler shorted out and took out wiring and melted the connector.  One also melted the mating connector on the PS/3 board sufficiently that the board had to be replaced!

Start at the coupler and just make sure the wiring from the coupler to the PCB connector isn't shorted, pinched, etc.  It's a straight shot going through one 2-pin connector, so it should be fairly easy to trace.
