Is there an easy way to find out what size traction tires you need. The PE Berkshire needed some and the LHS guy had them. But the MPC NW2 needs them replaced as well as the MPC F3. And the Kline Reading 4-6-2 mentioned in another post. I would think there wasn't a huge number of traction tire sizes.

Having both Lionel and MTH's tire charts available MAY facilitate obtaining the 'correct' MTH replacement tires in future, by cross- referencing the size (you're looking for) from the MTH chart to the Lionel chart, then obtaining it/them through Lionel; unless/until the MTH successor (for Parts) gets up and running.

Just a thought.

I have used MTH tires as replacements for Lionels and K-Lines, plus others, when the original spares that came with the engine are gone. The ones that mostly get used are DE-25, DE-27, and DE-31 in my experience. (Note these numbers don't include the insane series of five or so useless zeros that MTH puts in all it's part PN's). I sure hope they will still be available after MTH is defunct.
