South Cackalackey.  I like it.  Is there a North Cackalackey?  If there isn't, there should be.  I'd be in for an East and a West Cackalackey as well.  I'm thinking you can never have too many Cackalackeys.  It's catchier than Peoria.

There is indeed a North Cackalackey, just above South Cackalackey ... so it's a bit colder there in the winter. I've lived in Peoria, and if it'll play in Peoria, it'll play in the Cackalackey's too.

My favoritest hot sauce of all time is called Cackalacky (missing that last "e", which means either they spelled it incorrectly, or I did*, or it can be spelled either way). It's got some zing to it, and the Cheerwine flavored ones are pretty nice too.

*I may live here, but obviously I need to spell the slang better. Corrected the topic title.

Cackalacky is just slang for Carolina. It's - supposedly - a relatively recent addition to the English lexicon, though it really depends on who you ask. It's true origins ... remain a mystery. But it's fun to say.

You had everyone guessing for quite a while Deuce!    We are native Western Pennsylvanians, but my brother just took his pension from the Kershaw County Schools last spring.  He filled me in.  When I worked in Virginia from the mid '70s to early '90s, folks would speak of North Carolina as just 'Carolina'.  I don't recall hearing anyone use 'Cacklacky' back then, though I worked with some native Carolinians.

I take it as occasionally I hear Western Pennsylvanians refer to our commonwealth as Pennsyltucky.
