Very nice car!  A little late for the era I model NJT, but then again my first ride at age 6 was when it was CNJ and PC.    My NJT consists of Comet II cars, two self painted diesels, a GG-1 to be renumbered to 4877, and an ALP-44,  If it ever get's enough orders, I'll have a 3rd Rail scale E60.  Somewhere I have a Williams GP38 in NJT but it's not very prototypical.

I'm toying with repainting some K-Line Budd cars in to the late NJDOT and early NJT scheme as I rode on quite a few of those cars.

It would be really interesting to see more of your NJT.

Thank you for the compliment.  I currently just have the bilevel cars and the NJT P40. I plan on going to my local train store and purchasing the ALP-46 really soon.  Here is a pic of the P40.20200513_204433

Here is my NJT collection to date.  I model mainly the 80's for NJT so it's a different era to be sure!  These are all reposts from the past.  Focusing now on my 1950's era NY&LB in 2R.

Stand-in for a GE U34CH in the form of what I call a C34-7H  Numbered 1 number higher than the last U34CH.

GG1's still ruled the rails (at least on the commuter side).

I watched the F40 tests with Comet sets in the summer of '82.  This one was modified and custom painted by me starting with a Home Harwardware VIA Rail Canada donor.

I remember when the ALP-44s became the standard during their short time as ruler of the NY&LB.

Project to be completed someday.  Two Williams units spliced and sitting on an MTH chassis.  Lots of work to do on this one assuming the 3rd Rail one doesn't go.  I remember these breaking down fairly frequently during my high school years in the summer heat.

Wow -- a stand-in for a U34CH!  I can't tell you how many times we rode NJT from my hometown of Hawthorne to Hoboken to catch the PATH tubes to NYC on our way to rock concerts in the 1972-1976 time frame.  Who made your model and custom-painted it for you?  And your Comet cars?

Thank you!  It is a stock MTH where I did the rework to scale couplers, fixed pilot, and the painting myself.  The comet cars are Atlas and mostly second run.  The extra detail was aslo my creation using styrene and odd parts found at Ace Hardware.

I must admit that I only rode behind the U34CH once on the Boonton line to visit family in the mid 90's.  They sure had a unique sound growing up with all EMDs on the Coast Line.

Your collection of NJ Transit equipment is beautiful.  Next week I am going to my LHS to purchase the ALP-46.

Thank you.  I definitely have the same exact feelings regarding the real prototype.  I changeD my station platforms because of these cars.  I originally wanted high level platforms that are on the Northeast corridor.  However, with the purchase of these cars, I had to switch to low level platforms.  I hope atlas would make them in o scale.  I believe the HO versions sold well.
