Guys and gals,
Do you know anyone who custom paints units for a charge? I have a set of Lionel Postwar AT&SF F Units that have basically poor to no paint on them....they need a strip down and re-paint into another scheme or perhaps back into the AT&SF Warbonnet. It would be for the A Unit and B Unit. Would love to have them painted into something obscure....like perhaps a local shortline's colors or something like that.

I had Tommy Gilbert paint my Weirton Steel Alco S-2 #208 (used to be a Lionel Western Pacific). Not only did he do a fabulous job on the paint, he also fabricated a correct stack based on prototype photos. My advise would be Len Carparelli who has done santa fe units and Lionel restorations for many years, or Harry Heike. Len advertises in CTT under L&L screen printing I think, some guys here can help you find Harry who is THE BEST of any painter out there. There is also Elliot Welz if you can get him to do it and he has done some outstanding work for many years.
