Hello! I have to give credit where credit is due.

After hearing so many negative things about the DASH train auction site,I feel I have to post up about a very positive buying experience with them.

3 weeks ago,I won a NIB Lionel Backshop from the auction site. When my Backshop arrived,it was in Excellent condition, but did not appear to be the NIB item I had purchased.

With a telephone call and an e-mail,DASH PAID my return shipping, and this morning shipped me my NEW IN BOX LIONEL BACKSHOP!!!!

It is in pristine, untouched,New In Box shape just like the auction said.It appears that their shipping department sent me the wrong one initially, but their customer service took care of this problem, and paid for return shipping and second time shipping!!!

There are some great deals on DASH!!!  I am a happy buyer and will return for more great deals!!!!-Kenny Baughman

This could use a bit of clarification. DASH is an auction house, not a seller. It is closely associated with Trainz, but there are other sellers using DASH. Kenny, please confirm who the actual seller was (I am guessing Trainz).

My own experience with Trainz has been that they make fairly frequent errors (mainly inaccurate descriptions), but they are always willing to fix the problem. Sometimes it takes some time and followup, but they have always taken care of problems for me.

Same experience here, Hiawatha. In fact, every transaction I have had with Trainz has had some problem (poor description, inaccurate grading, wrong item, etc.) but they've always either refunded, allowed a return, or otherwise tried to fix the issue.

While I'm really happy they fix the issues, it would save grief for me, and money for them, if they got it right the first time. But, better to get it right at all than to just lose customers.

Generally, Trainz has been satisfactory with me.  Only thing I recommend is that you carefully inspect every aspect of a purchase as soon as you get it.  I purchased a box of Gargraves flex and only removed a couple of pieces to ensure they were new as described.  When I did take all the pieces out I discovered that most were rigid and some had broken cross tie ends (broken off).  When I contacted them, they said it was too late even though their description was wrong.  I am very careful when I buy used from DASH now and seldom use that service any more.
