FYI: While Proto 3.0 locos have AUTOMATIC polarity detection when using the DCS Commander, Proto 2.0 engines do NOT. What this situation translates to is the CORRECT polarity must be observed when operating Proto 2.0 locos with the DCS Commander.
NOTE: The positive output of the GREEN DC output terminal must go to the CENTER rail for Proto 2.0 engines to start up in DCS mode.
The POSITIVE terminal is the RIGHT side of the GREEN output connector as you are looking DOWN at the terminal from the control panel of the unit.
Proto 3.0 engines automatically detect the correct polarity.
