I had a short on a loop of track and I heard the fuse in the Explorer pop . I purchased new 5a fuses from an auto parts store. When I power up the Explorer I get immediate power to the track. I tried all of 5 that were in the pack. I also tested them with a MTH DC power pack and then with my MTH Z-1000.

I purchased a replacement Explorer and tried these fuses in it. It works as it should. Meaning no power to the track until I startup an engine or search for an engine.

I also tested the fuse that came with the new explorer in the old explorer and I get immediate power to the track.

So is the Explorer trash?
