DCS TIU / TMCC, LEGACY INTERFACE CABLE

I see that there are two serial cables for connecting  the TIU to TMCC or Legacy base units.  The first one was the 50-1018 that is stated as connecting the TIU  to the TMCC  Base 1. The second cable is the 50-1032 which is referred to as a TIU to TMCC LEGACY interface cable.  Is there an actual electrical difference between these two cables. Or was the 1032 just a relabel to include LEGACY in the product name.   Thanks in advance ,       j

The two cables are different:

  • The 50-1018 will not work with the Legacy base. It only works with the TMCC command base.
  • The 50-1032 will work with any Lionel command base, TMCC or Legacy.
