Very nice...I will post pics ASAP on this same thread.

A few minor issues:

1) The Jeeps seem to have delicate paint..already chipped in some areas...I hope this will not be one of those things with a bad diecast batch.

2) The individual boxes seem very soft.  I hope mine didn't sit out in a truck during this huge rain storm we had for 24hrs here.  Are the blue boxes just soft and easily bent in general for others who have the set??

3) My biggest issue is why didn't they use Gilbert style buttons for the contacts?  They have the tools...as they used them on the ramakes of the semaphore a few years back.

Mike,

like you said, It's a nice set. My jeeps are in tact so far with no paint chips. The boxes are paper thin and mine started to separate at the glue joint. The engine is a smooth runner and I like the brass gears. The other cars operate fine. The activation buttons are a big let down. I hope they make the accessory fastrack.

enjoy

Pat

this by far is the cheepest set that lionel has put together in "S". Waited 3-years for this?? Don't like the new type motorized truck on the geep. Looks like crap (the new truck design). why didn't they leave it the same as previous geeps produced? Yes my boxes are coming apart at the seems, must be a cheep glue they used. The manual is paper thin. And to top it off when I put the geep on my layout I heard a grinding noise coming from the motorized truck. Will not run. I removed the top shell to see what's going on and the motor was not secure at all. My guess the gears are not lining up toghther and jam causing it not to run. It's going back.
