I got bored with the MTH tanks... so I bought 5 deuce and a halfs and an M10 tank destroyer. 2 of the trucks and the tank destroyer are built with 3 more trucks to go (also waiting on some more stuff, but I have to leave something for a surprise 
), but this is the first one that made it onto a flat car with the tie downs and chocks. I'm still experimenting with a couple different wires and chains for tie downs, but the chains seem to look the best.

Boilermaker - Nice work! did you buy all the military vehicles from MTH? What hobby shop or online did you get the vehicles from. I love this stuff!

Great job. I found my tie-down chain on the bay, where did you find your chain? I am waiting on a Spitfire model kit I am going to place on two flat cars for my military train. Thanks for posting.

The models are Tamiya 1/48 scale models... paint and assembly required. The chains and hooks are from Walthers, I think its A Line Products, but chains and stuff are available all over the place.
The chocks are .1667 square (scale 8x8) colored with a Minwax stain pen.
As far as the color of the chain, its a dark brown, rust color, I dont know why they're bright in the photo.
Tamiya 1/48th great stuff. I used to be into 1/35 scale Tamiya 30 years ago, great quality.
