I was in Menards today to pick up supplies for a project, and came across a bin of diecast vehicles.
Manufacturer is "Denver Die Cast", made in China, and they are $2.99. Mostly current European autos, but a 60's VW bus, and some loaders and construction equipment. I found this one that I had to have among others,
marked for BNSF on the roof and on the sides of the boom:
I did disassemble and paint the driver and a few other details. I also noticed the pallet can be removed so it is a forklift.
There was a smaller forklift marked for PRR. Very nice for $2.99.
Note to Menards: I really could use an orange Subaru Crosstrek! Then I could have both my kid's cars on the layout.
