Disassembly of a Lionel 201/203 switcher | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I checked Youtube, but found no video explaining the disassembly steps for a Lionel 201/203 switcher. I just got my 201 and I like to service it, but I cannot find the best way to disassemble it. Does anyone out there know? TIA.

To get the shell ofF there is a screw right behind the bell. There are two more screws underneath in front. They are sort of under the coupler. I do not recall if I have to take the coupler loose first or not. If the coupler has to come off, the front steps should come off first, then the coupler, then the two screws under the coupler bracket. Be careful with the coupler wire. See photos below. Note that this is a 203 that was converted to postwar couplers.
