I know precisely what you want as I want some too!

When Dick Mayer was alive he fabricated (or had fabricated) several custom-lettered brass plates which he then mounted on a set of his RichArt Milwaukee Road heavyweight passenger cars for me.  Each letter was stamped/etched into the brass plate then filled with black paint, polished, and finally clear coated.  Very time consuming but fabulous work!

Not 100% sure that Dick did the work himself as he may have farmed it out to another craftsman.  That said, his shop had the tools and he had the skills.

Miss Dick.

I've often though about having some Ives plates made. My idea was to contact a trophy store. The only thing is the engraved plaques on all of these newer trophies look to be mostly aluminum. But I bet there still higher grade trophies manufactured for large events with solid brass plates or plaques. Give it a try and report here if you have any luck!
