For planning my new layout, I was reviewing Barry Broskowitz's books on DCS and noticed his comment that 14 or 16 gauge star wiring for the DCS blocks from the MTH TIU were best to be twisted pair.  I cannot find such wire in this gauge, but notice lots of parallel speaker wire is available.  Does anyone think the twisted pair wiring is needed or should adequate gauge speaker wire work fine and deliver signal strengths of 10?

Twisted pair, purchased from OGR, sure helped a LOT on our layout. Although no longer available from OGR, you might try looking for 14 gauge stranded, twisted pair, alarm system wire.
