Truthfully it can be a pain the butt.  The ONLY reasons I have windows loaded on my MB pro was for the MTH loader and track planning s/w.

If you have to buy software like parallels or fusion and then buy windows on top of that, you might just as well look into a very inexpensive laptop for $200-$300.   With Christmas coming, I'm sure there will be deals.

What Ron says. Get an inexpensive PC. BTW you can install Boot Camp if you haven't already and skip Parallels or VMware. You still need to get a Windows OS.

I'm going next door and get my autistic grandson, he's a computer wizard, and have him do it with his . This has been tough and took a lot of what was a great time to a standstill.

It can be tough... and it's hard to get good at something when you only have to do it once every couple of years.  The good news is, you may never have to do it again.  Who knows what the MTH and DCS future is.

Your Grandson will even probably question... "Why the heck did they program it this way?"

Have Fun!

Got up a little brighter than yesterday and remembered my wife has a computer upstairs. Got everything updated to 6.1 (YEA!!!) Tried the Dryfus, zip. PRR atlantic after trying numerous times, was recognized and makes a click and hum when trying to startup.Nothing else. PRR Q AMAZINGLY was recognized, started up and ran around the layout. I was astounded! Last proto 2 engine, NKP berkshire, immediately made start up noises, and smokes the basement up. Will not load or anything. Nothing like fun fun fun.I'm calling MR. Muffin's man. Did have 8-10 strength with the Q.
