OGR Run 300 did a great job with photos of the new Duckunder Terminal Railway, but of course it was impossible to publish all the pictures submitted. Attached in this and several subsequent posts are more photos.

This one is  of BIRD'S-EYE VIEW pictures.

Photos of what we thought was a fantasy town in West Virginia: PROSPERITY.  But turns out there is a Prosperity, WV, though it may not have two coal tipples as does the Duckunder.

Note, too, that this is part of the Duckunder's fall scene, the other half being York Form branch (see those photos).

Guys....apparently while trying to combine the 18 different threads with hundreds of pictures, something got lost in the transfer!  I take responsibility since I was the one that did my best to create one thread since we had many alerts from members overwhelmed with all the different threads.  The intent here was to put Will's pictures into on thread while at the same time allowing other topics to be seen.  I also can not open any of the pictures on my smartphone but can see all or most here on my laptop.  Will and I have been conversing about this and I am encouraging him to perhaps try again and re-post into one thread.  Once he has time to do this, I will then delete this thread.  Sorry guys....I really was trying to help....

Alan

Alan and everyone,

No worries! I apologize to Forum members for overwhelming things with so many photos.  This is entirely my fault as the originator. I should have counseled with Alan first.

Though many of the photos in this combined thread show up okay on my laptop, many do not, and I am unable to access ANY of them on my smartphone.  I'm going to attempt, as time permits, to re-post the pictures, but I'm swamped with meetings most of the week, so it might take a few days.

If that doesn't work, I will see about hosting the photos someplace and start a new thread here that links to the other.

With temps threatening to hit 100 degrees Fahrenheit, it's a good day in Raleigh to appreciate air-conditioning. Stay cool, everyone.

Cheers,

Cheers,

Much prefer images hosted right on the OGR Forum rather than "offsite" somewhere. This way 6 months from now when someone sees a post the images are still there to be viewed.

Does it have to be *every photo taken?  i realize this is a highly detailed layout that the builders are very proud, and should be, but honestly, after the first 10 or 20 shots taken just a few degrees different from the last or the same with different exposure settings, my eyes just start to glaze over and I get annoyed with the "dump."  I can't be the only one that feels this way.

My suggestion - be selective.  Choose nice, representative images that tell the story and move on.  A picture may tell a tale of a thousand words, pretty sure no one here is looking for a copy of "War and Peace."

I agree with you, and I apologize.  It's a matter of time for me.  I do not have time to edit the photos taken for the article.  Give me a few weeks, and I will see what I can do.

Of course I love the layout, but for me it's all about having fun operating it within the realistic environment George Lasley created.  Frankly, I posted the photos to show off George's work, not mine.  I only designed it, but George brought it to life.

Thanks very much for your advice.  I will take it, but give me time.

Best regards,

I would love to see ALL the pictures of your layout, not just a select few. Your layout is well worth the extra photos. Unfortunately, I am one of the unfortunate ones that can't see any of the photos above. That is on my PC too, not using a phone to view them.

Thanks for all your efforts here and I am sorry things didn't work out with the pics. Looking forward to seeing them when you have time to try again.
