Have 14 dz1000 machines on layout. 4 of them are wired as 2 pairs which throw together. No problems. I started today to add an insulated common rail to each side of each switch to set up non derailing. A friend suggested that, while this would be advantageous, I needed to be sure that the dz1000s breaks the circuit at the end of the throw. My friend is concerned that parking a car on the insulated track might leave the switch motor on constantly, causing it to overheat and burn out. Is this a legitimate concern?

Z Stuff says that if you are using the DZ1002 Momentary switch controller, then it'll work. See here for wiring...
