e unit drums | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I am in need of a replacement e-unit drum for my PW 681 engine. I have heard that some of the plastic in the newer e unit drums are prone to warp from the heat and some have issues with extra plastic flashing near the 'gear teeth'. I am afraid to buy one on-line (ebay or parts guys) not knowing if it is a good one or a cheaply made one.

Can anyone recommend a good e-unit drum, or does anyone have a NOS/used one they can sell me that is in good shape?

I buy from Jeff, he is a great guy to deal with. Amazing service and great prices too. Buy yourself a half dozen and some e unit fingers too. you'll be out about $25 but you'll have all the e-unit parts you need

Agree about Jeff. He was my 'go to guy' for e-unit drums, fingers, and assorted other odds and ends, when my repair shop was still open.
