I have always liked Electric locos and always wished more would get produced. To me it seems like they keep making the same old locos over and over again. So I decided to cut up a couple of Williams E 60 shells and make it more kind of scale also using a MTH U30c  Chassi. This just the beginning.e60 1e60 2

Shurlock - thanks for posting! I am very glad to see someone else who appreciates the E60 too! I am working on modifying my Williams model too - converting mine into a passable E60MA but not to the scale 73ft length. I have asked Scott Mann and MTH of they would be interested in making a model - I think there's enough to jusitfy a short run. Please send me an e-mail Shurlock and we can work together on our engines: m.james.breen@gmail.com

Its going to take a while to make this look good. I am going to use a MTH pantograph I purchased some time ago. I have to make the electrical components for the roof out of maybe wood and then resin cast them. maybe I should cast the shell when finished too. trying to go by the HO scale one as a reference. Its not going to be scale but its going to look a hell of lot better than the Williams version. I don't understand why it was made like it was for a cartoon. I have some Williams Metroliner cars and MTH Amfleets I am going to eventually turn into a scale Metroliner.
