I finally get to run this train with hope. I hope to keep it on the layout for a while!

Go Eagles! I have the same set, however now it only goes backwards, I hope that is not a bad omen.
Yes: Go Eagles
Cool train room and train.
Gary
I love the sports related toy trains...someone needs to make more, a new boxcar for every football team, like Lionel did with MLB recently.
I predict an Eagles/Stillers Super Bowl, with the Iggles getting their first Lombardi trophy!
Go Eagles!
You may want to lubricate that engine - I believe it will choke up on the final stretch
John, have you tried a conventional reset? Hopefully it's only locked in reverse.

No choking this year. That Eagles train should flying high for a couple more weeks.
I prefer the TEXAS EAGLE!
Dominic Mazoch posted:I prefer the TEXAS EAGLE!
Do you mean Nick Foles? He is not Carson Wentz, but he is a Texas Eagle (one of four on the current roster).
What, me worry?
Nice train. I am waiting for the 49er version.

But where are da playas? All huddled up in that hack?

Thank you Dave, I will try it.
I had a Phillies train once, but it moved to the Phillipines.
Now they're known as the Manila Folders.
Mitch
(who usually enjoy razzing the Iggles, but they're doing far too well this season)
When that train departed Carson City, Wentzylvania , it was the end for that railroad town.
Fun train, thanks for video.

Ah, you youngsters. That would be great, and technically correct. The first professional football game I went to was the 1960 Eagles-Packers championship game which ended with Chuck Bednarik tackling and sitting on Jim Taylor. At Franklin Field. Its been all downhill since that.
Gerry
Just like in a football game it will taker forever to complete a circle around the layout if the conductor throws a yellow flag at every railroad crossing/foul.
I'm a Bears fan and was sad to see Carson go down. The progress he made this year along with Goff in LA was one of the few bright spots for the NFL this year...
Fun train! Supporting the NFC East in the playoffs - Iggles are worthy of the shot; just hope they don't derail themselves! That 1960 game was Vincent Thomas Lombardi's only playoff defeat - before the dynasty began! His teams won 5 NFL championships -2 Super Bowls! It's great to mix 2 hobbies: sports and trains! Thanks for sharing !
Nice train. Maybe those Beagles won't take a knee for the National Anthem this weekend?
Oh . . . those Eagles. When I saw the topic, I was expecting a concert.
Quite honestly, not worth the watching.

I was hoping for a companoin piece to aquarium cars
But would have settled for a Walsh solo
There is a stadium joke in there somwhere
Looks like the train will be on the layout for at least one more week!
One down two to go.

What's not worth watching?
Any of you in Philly still sober tonight?
What a game, especially the last 3+ minutes.
I stayed home yesterday because both of my boys wanted to go, and I only have two tickets. I did not want to choose between them, so I sent them both. Now, they are already lobbying for next week.
By 11:00 last night, the Eagles has already hit my credit card for the tickets for Sunday. Maybe I should just sell them, and use the money for new trains. Then I won’t have to fight with my kids.🤨

The MoPac, Texas and Pacific, PRR or Amtrak versions.
Yes, for 18 months in the late 40's the train which became known as the PENN TEXAS was called the TX EAGLE! Ran NYP to STL.

Funny - I thought that only my Chicago Bears train ran backwards.
Don't follow much football anymore (I can now hear my father's voice complaining about what they have done to the game coming out of my mouth!).. But when I did 17-0 was my team!
I have always thought I should take the Lionel Tank Car Accident piece and replace the Hooker car with my Met Tank Car.
Enjoy the games...

What scale is that? I can barely see it!
Hehe, I'm rooting for another team, but my favorite Railroad may say otherwise...
Fun Fact: After the eagles won the 1960 super bowl the Reading company had a special train that ran over there system being lead by 5513, a GP30 and followed by another gp.

There was no Super Bowl in 1960.
From Wikipedia
The first AFL-NFL World Championship Game in professional American football, known retroactively as Super Bowl I and referred to in some contemporaneous reports, including the game's radio broadcast, as the Super Bowl,[7] was played on January 15, 1967 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. The National Football League (NFL) champion Green Bay Packers defeated the American Football League (AFL) champion Kansas City Chiefs by the score of 35–10.

Hmm, well my history of football stinks, oh well it must've been in the seventies I guess, sorry 'bout that,
The Eagles have won 0.0 Superbowls

No, you were sort of right. The Eagles won the NFL championship in 1960. The Super Bowl didn’t come about until a few years later, when two competing leagues, the NFL and the AFL, decided to have their respective champions play against each other. Eventually, the two leagues merged under the NFL banner.
I do have the N.Y. Jets train but it has derailed every season, sometimes at the beginning, midway or at the end but has only made it around the layout successfully once in 49 years!
The other green team in my area is riding high. Go Eagles! Nice train.

Sunday the Texas Eagle (Nick Foles) will battle the Texas Viking (Case Keenum) for the NFC championship. Slap a Lone Star on that train and call it the Texas Special!
What, me worry?
May the Eagles Train celebrate victory this evening during their last stop in Philadelphia this season and travel safely to its final destination in Minneapolis, Minnesota, February 4, 2018.
FLY EAGLES FLY, ON THE ROAD TO VICTORY!!! GO E A G L E S
Go Eagles!
Hear, hear!
Mitch
I expect a total derailment here!
SKOL VIKINGS!!! Bring it home!
(looks) The US Bank Stadium is a very nice facility! I'm sure the Iggles will enjoy playing there!
Mitch
After that last Win, it looks like the Vikings year.

AFC game is about to start. Three hours to go. The game is all the local news has wanted to talk about this last week. The grape sodas are chilled. 41 years is long enough. I'd prefer a little less drama than last week. Still have it on the DVR.
OK Lord, we need one for the gipper Carson Wentz. PPPPPLLLLAAAAEEEESSSSEEEE!
Thank you Lord! may I have some more PPPLLLLAAASSSSEEEEEE! just one more this year.

Just how many consecutive Hail Mary games can a team count on? Is it reasonable to expect two miracles in a row?
Not an "Iggles Fan" But a fan of the NFC East - Go Eagles, "Git 'Er Done"!
THE VIKINGS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!
'Course, they'll be watching from the stands, but...
Mitch
Unbelievable game. Did everybody hear the train whistle after one of Ajayi’s long runs?
Well, I don't consider myself a sports fan, but I caught some of the game this evening. The supposed underdogs smashed the supposed overdoes. Way to go Eagles. My son-in-law, who was at the game must be riding high about now.
E A G L E S Super bowl here we come. Fly Eagles Fly!
Here's a Proclamation to the E-A-G-L-E-S from the King of Lite at Budweiser !!!
VIEW & ENJOY!

When the Eagles train gets to Minneapolis the bridge will be out and the train will careen off the rails and plunge into the ravine below.
Don't get me wrong. I always root against the Evil Empire which is probably why I'm pretty sure of the result. Bad Boy Billy Belichick will have his army whipped up into a killing frenzy after the close call with the Jags.
GO EAGLES!! (for all the good it will do)
Pete
The Eagles are a team of destiny this year, they even have the Fox sportscaster rooting for them, Belichick should be worried, he has good reasons to.
Go Eagles! Dilly Dilly Philly Philly! The year of the Underdogs, Roff Roff bow wow.
Travel with Class on Kraftairways!

The match is set. You all know who I am for but I want to say well done to Eagles fans. They played a great game. Having grown up in the Philadelphia area, I am very happy for Eagles fans.
Marty, I thought maybe you would show up here with the Patriots train 🚂. Maybe they didn’t make one? I have to spend some time now preparing the Eagles train for the trip west. We need them to arrive well rested and ready to go. It should be a good game!
This will be the second year in a row a raptor bird will be plucked in the non-Big Game!

Pete, have some positivity. IMO, the Eagles train journey is reminiscent of the Polar Express. Even if it should careen off track during a portion of the Superbowl game, do not fear that it will plunge into the ravine below. Just as the Polar Express also left its tracks venturing dangerously onto the ice, it nevertheless got back on track for a successful journey and so will the Eagles. We just have to B-E-L-I-E-V-E !
Hoping it will be a great game and regardless of who wins, may the players on both teams emerge free of injuries at the end of the game.
The train has left the station for Minnesota. With some luck it will be there in 10 days. Stay tuned for updates.

The Eagles train will keep "taking the green"...and the other train will be "stopping for the red" all along the way because they're always trailing...
Train Nut, they always win. GHD, try 30-4128-1. It will be a great one. As long at Steelers are out thanks to poor coaching I am very happy a Pennsylvania team is in the big game. The Eagles are the real deal with a great staff.
Marty knows that I have a few comments to make here. The other green team is in the Super Bowl and it is going to be a match up.
P.S. I could always get that Jets train rolling again but it is the machine shop getting another yearly makeover for next season! Maybe one decade from now!
Marty Fitzhenry posted:Train Nut, they always win.
Being a Giants fan i have to ask....you can't be talking about the Patriots....LOL
How many games did the Giants win this year? On a serious note, I have always liked Eli and I got very upset when the media started bashing him. He had nothing to work with and I still feel he is the real deal. He still throws a good ball but needs people who can catch them. I always liked the giants. I am very happy Philly got it done.
Marty Fitzhenry posted:How many games did the Giants win this year?
The Giants played this year? I must've missed it!! 😂 Although the did beat the Pats in pre season. 😁
I remember that. Hopefully next year for them.

Nice train but it needs some passenger cars for the fans.
I am lucky that they don't have a 49ers train. It saves me some money. The Niners will be competitive next season. Go Niners.
NH Joe
The demand for passenger cars has been heard. Two coaches are in tow presently. I wonder how many will be required by this time next week. Stay tuned!

A man from Philadelphia dies and goes to his just reward – Hell.
After a few weeks Satan comes to see him and sarcastically asked, “Hot enough for you?"
Our friend replies, “Not really, just like a June day in dear old Philly.”
Satan gets upset and turns up both the heat and humidity and waits a couple of weeks.
Satan goes back to visit the Philadelphian and asked, “Hot enough now?’
Our friend replies, “Not really, just like a July day in dear old Philly.”
Satan is no longer upset; he is ****ed, and turns both the heat and humidity as high as it can go.
The people in Hell are lethargic, everyone is moping around as it is very hot and extremely damp.
Satan visits our friend for a third time, and states, not asks, “I know it is hot enough, now!”
Our friend replies, “Not really, just like an August day in dear old Philly.”
Satan is now out of his mind; he cannot get Hell hotter nor more humid. He devises a plan that has not been done for ages...
Satan goes down to the bowls of hell where the heater and humidifier are located and turns then off. While there he see the never used AC unit and turns it on to full blast at the coldest temperature.
By the time Satan gets back to the main level of Hell, everything is iced over, the humid air now contains snow and everyone is freezing except our friend.
He is doing the Mummers’ Strut like he was on Broad Street on a beautiful New Year’s Day.
Satan asked our friend why was he so happy while others are freezing and out friend replies:
“When I was a little boy, my father always said it would be a cold day in Hell before the Eagles won a Super Bowl. The Eagles won the Super Bowl, the Eagles won the Super Bowl...”
YES!!!!! The EAGLES train has arrived at the station. S-U-C-C-E-S-S!!!!!
Congradulations.
CONGRATS on that great win!
Congrats to all the "Iggle” fans! 👍
Curt
Nice job, Pats! Well played! Grats to the Iggles!
Mitch
Yes. Great job Pats!! Perfect!!
Yea Eagles!!
Now we need an express train to get home for the parade! Another good game thank goodness.
I still can't believe they didn't choke at the end. ( they use to be famous for that. ( from someone who grew up in that area )
Congrats to the Eagles!
So glad that the eagles won congratulations 😁
And I had my Jets engine running today at a train show and the sounds went out on it (see dcs forum here) . Think it is the speaker.
However, I think the Pats had enough of my Jets announcements today and snuffed it out!
Congratulations to the Eagles for a great win but congrats to both teams for an exciting Super Bowl game.

Much to my shock the Eagle train flattened the Evil Empire team bus. HOORAY!!
And BRAVO to MVP Nick Foles for having faith and believing in himself.
Pete
Congrats to all Eagle fans!

Congratulations Eagles and Eagles fans!
