I'm using a ZW-L with Legacy controller to power three power districts on my layout.  I was using a regular ZW to power the BPC2.  I won't need the CU throttle on the ZW-L to power any other lines so I thought I would use it to power the BPC2 and eliminate the extra transformer.

When I hook up the BPC2 to the ZW-L and use the Legacy controller to apply power through CU, I am getting a lot of electrical feedback.  That would be great if I was Jimi Hendrix but I'm just trying to take a transformer out of the system.   I'm pretty sure that I have the connections (power and common) correct.  I shut it down quickly because I was afraid of causing some damage to the BPC2.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Thanks in advance.

I saw that but was kind of hoping that the completely separate throttle on the ZW-L would be isolated enough to be a separate transformer.  I guess the feed back is coming through the common side.  In normal times, my son would be visiting. He's an electrical engineer and specializes in controls for robots.  I'm sure he would understand it a lot better than me, but he has been traveling all over the country installing robots so he felt it wouldn't be safe to stop in for Thanksgiving.

Thank you for the information.
