I’ve got a situation that I’m hoping someone has encountered and who might have a (relatively) easy solution.

I have 10 Atlas switches leading into and out of my 5 track fiddle yard.  Four of those switches are standard straight switches; the distance between electrical points within the switches is 2-1/2 inches. Six of the switches are O72/O54 curved switches with the distance between electrical points beinf 4-1/2 inches.  My Weaver diesel engines have an electrical roller pick-up spacing of 8-1/2 inches.  They power through both types of switches easily.  My MTH steam engines are another story — the distance between the electrical roller pick-ups is 3-1/2 inches.  They go through the standard straight switches easily but always stall on the curved switches.

Short of taking all of my MTH steam engines to a repair shop and have an additional pick-up roller installed in the tender, I was wondering if anyone out there has encountered this dilemma and might have a solution or a work around. I would be much obliged for any assistance that you could give me.  Many thanks!
