Rick, These rail fetishes evolve and develop don’t they? How do I go from LGB, to modern tin to prewar tin to postwar Marx and onto current modern O and now exploring MPC. The only constant that has largely remained and that is passenger cars for me. Although I do like tankers and reefers too. You have a great train room. Thanks again for sharing! Best, Willard

Thank you, Rick, for your compliments and good humor.

Now, IMO we have some mighty fine layouts among us, which look very impressive when seen from a panoramic view.

Isn't it great, after all of the hardworking designing, building, wiring, laying track and scenicking, to sit back and take in your very own Empire.

Here is a panoramic video of mine, showing a train running in the distance:

I find it very satisfying, after all the hard work (labor of love) building it, to take in my very own basement railroad empire.

Here is a video taken during the early morning hours this morning (I occasionally have insomnia) while my wife is asleep, of two of my quiet Williams locomotives (great pullers with their big motors) hauling freight and passenger trains:

Among other things, I find running quiet trains in the wee hours of the morning to be a good antedote to my occasional insomnia to keep me from worrying about it. Now, when I have insomnia, I consider it an opportunity to have some fun with my basement railroad empire.

Now, some of you have railroad Empires that dwarf mine. Would love to see more videos and photos of yours. Arnold
