Re: engine making grinding noise

i just recently started running my standard gauge 402 engine after putting it on a shelf for a year, at first, it ran fine, shut it off and this morning, as its going around the layout, it makes a grinding noise, any one have any ideas why, i`d greatly apriciate any help, thanks, Phil
